Bishop Imakando elected President of the Evangelical Fellowships of Southern Africa

2010 the year of fruitfulness has been evident in the lives of people as many have been blessed in various areas.  One among many is Presiding Bishop for Bread of Life Church, Joe Imakando who has been elected to the position of President of Southern African National Evangelical Fellowships (An organisation that has 10 Southern African countries affiliated to it).

The church would therefore like to congratulate Bishop Joe Imakando on this new appointment and wish him God's blessings.

The election was done during a general conference of all evangelical fellowships and association in Africa in Nairobi, with a total membership of 33 countries. This came to light when EFZ Director Reverend Pukuta Mwanza testified during the 2010 Word Explosion Conference. The entire church congregation danced in celebration. We give God the glory for this great honour placed upon the man of God.

Bishop Imakando Dedicates Nakonde Bread of Life Church

‘Until you have a property of your own, you can not posses your blessing. 
When you build a house, you build it for yourself but when you build a church, you build for the community and for generations to come.

Bishop Imakando Commissions School For Ndola BLCI

On Friday 1st May 2009, Bishop Joe Imakando officially opened the first ever primary school for Ndola Bread of Life Church International that will provide education not only to the children of the well to do  families but also to the orphans and the vulnerable children in the city.

Bishop Hosts 2011 Building Partners Cocktail Party

Bishop Joe Imakando hosted a come together party for the Covenant Building Partners on Sunday 16th January 2011 at the Blessing Center. Scores of building partners participated and renewed their pledges. The Bishop challenged the partners to religiously remain committed with contributions so that the structure completes on time.

“We need unity and sacrifice for this project. God has blessed us with good jobs and businesses for such a time as this that one day we shall build him a structure that will bring glory. Stand with us so that we may finish building by April this year. God will bless you he is no man’s debtor”. The Bishop said
 
 
 
 
Project manager Elder Anderson Malumo gave a report on the current position of the project,He gave an outline of the progress achieved so far.

" The roof structure has been completed and is ready for roofing with only the fixing of the tension ring remaining.He also said that 10 containers from China carrying the roof  arrived in Tanzania (Dar es Saleem ) and by the time of the cocktail 4 trucks had already been off loaded in Lusaka and other trucks were still in Nakonde.

The plumbing for the 4 ablution blocks on the ground and 3 on the first floor have already been worked on with the necessary fittings put.The fitting of electrical sockets and other electrical fittings have commenced,

Mr Malumo also informed the covenant partners that block works partitioning various rooms have been done while others are yet to be done because they will have alternative partitioning materials to enable future changing of rooms or structures.

Furthermore by the Wednesday 12/01/2010  a parking list from China was sent which show that a consignment of Doors,sliding doors,glass auto door has been parked and are about to be dispatched.

Bishop dedicates new building in Petauke

Prayers of the saints, miracles, and shouts of praise echoed at Petauke Bread of Life Church International (BLCI) in eastern province when Bishop Joe Imakando officially opened and dedicated the new church building.

Bishop Celebrates his 55th Birthday

The evening of October 4th was a very special time for Bishop Joe Imakando as the church threw a party for him to celebrate his 55th birthday. The party was held at Sandy’s Creations South of Lusaka Province.

How can one become a Member of BLCI?
To start with, one has to give his or her life to the Lord that is to be born again. After this, one has to through a foundation class which basically aims at grounding the newly born again believer to the basic Christian principles. On completion, of the foundation class one goes through the waters of baptism after which one qualifies to be a member of Bread of Life Church International and will then be encouraged to join one of the many ministries the church has.
What organization is BLCI Affiliated to?
Bread of Life Church is affiliated to the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia, which fellowship was established in 1964 for the purpose of providing fellowship among the evangelical missionaries serving in Zambia.
When was Bread of Life Church founded?
Bread of Life Church International was founded on 13th September 1992 with a vision of bringing thousands into the kingdom of God. The church, then located on plot 136 Chinyunyu road in Emmasdale had a congregation of 120.
Who is the Presiding Bishop of BLCI?
Bishop Imakando is currently the Presiding Bishop of Bread of life Church International. He also happens to be the founder of Bread of Life Church in August 1992, when while in Lagos Nigeria God gave him the vision that led to the birth of Bread of life Church International.
