How can you come in as a professional?
- Participation in the ministries
•You are serving God
•You are blessing others with your skill, character, etc. as you interact.
•You demystify the notion that professionals are
unapproachable, unsociable, (they are people like you and me!)

They do not need me. But Simon was needed…

Bread of Life Church International, the Zambian Government, clergy, family members and well wishers celebrated Bishop Joe and Reverend Bernadette Imakando’s 40 years in ministry and marriage at Hotel Intercontinental on the 7th of October, 2018. In attendance during the awesome celebrations was Honorable Reverand Godfridah Sumaili Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs, Guest of honor Bishop Edgar N’gambi of Praise Christian Centre, Bread of Life Church Council of Elders, Reverends, pastors, family members. Speaking on behalf of Bread of Life Church, Chief Elder Banda, quoted an African Writer Chinua Chebe “A man who calls his kinsmen to a feast does not do so to save them from starving. They all have food in their own homes. When we gather together in the moonlit village ground it is not because of the moon. Every man can see it in his own compound. We come together because it is good for kinsmen to do so.” The elder stated that bishop has always been in the battlefront. The pride of every child lies in the stability on the family they come from, that is one of many good reasons we have all come to rejoice in the 40 years of consistent ministry and good marriage. As a church, we have witnessed the good leadership, prayer, the word of God, family values, community values and pledge allegiance to the leadership of Bread of life Church headed by Bishop Imakando. And council of elder and resident pastor for Ndola Bread of Life branch church Reverend George Chanda, appreciated Bishop Joe Imakando for making ministry easy and for being a role model due to consistency in ministry and marriage to his wife Reverend Bernadette Imakando. The guest of honour Presiding Bishop for Praise Christian Centre, Bishop Edgar N’gambi also mentioned that Bishop Imakando has been consistent in prayer and the study of God’s word. Bishop N’gambi stated that, ‘marriage is the most attacked institution, the reminder therefore is never to follow wrong things about marriage’. As a Christian never think of divorce, God Should give us grace to love each other in marriage. What has kept Bishop Imakando and Reverend Bernadette is commitment to serving God. Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs Godfridah Sumaili appreciated the Bishop for making ministry easier to follow. Bishop Joe Imakando’s ministry started in 1978, the same year he married Bernadette. Bishop Imakando mentioned that it is not his work but God’s work, the Lord always directs the work. The Bishop also acknowledged the Holy Spirit as the senior pastor. One of the key things is to have a vision and implement it. As of marriage, Bishop Imakando, stated that marriage encounters challenges but according to Philippians 1:6, ‘being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ’. A marriage which is begun in God will be seen through whether in good or challenging times. God’s grace is always sufficient. And Reverend Imakando appreciated her husband Bishop Imakando, the family, the church for the prayers and for the faithfulness of God. Towards the end of the celebration, a cake was cut and photos taken with Bishop and Reverend Imakando
