Testimonies

Written by

Since Sunday 14th October, 2012 Ndola Bread of Life Church has been experiencing unprecedented grace in fellowship, the market place, schools and homes.

Testimony one:

A young lady was in a church service on Sunday 14th October 2012 and had just signed a one year contract with her employers as a casual worker. This was a second contract running. When the word of "Open Doors" came she believed God for a full time job.

On returning to work on Monday she met a huge surprise that she had been offered a three year full-time job and conditions changed. "My dream for school is now a reality", she said.

                                          Ten Times Better
Text: Daniel 1vs1-20
The book of Daniel narrates an account of Daniel and the other 3 Hebrew boys who extinguished themselves in their conduct and did exploits for their God, in a foreign land.
-life has a way of giving us opportunity in our opportunity we meet our destiny
-It is never an accident
-many have gone through trouble and made it others have not
-what matters is how you handle yourself during the situation
-what do you do today will determine what you will be tomorrow
-The 3 Hebrew boys maximised their opportunity
1. Their Background
-living in their home land Judah, attacked by the Babylonians, taken into captivity against their will, they found themselves in a foreign land, couldn’t speak the language
2. Their opportunity
- The king offered them an opportunity to study for three years
God was preparing them for the future
3. Preverleges
-given privileges to eat at the kings table. The best of the land
When you go to a new place you will find people who will want change you,
Introduce you to new things, lifestyles,
-Change their names, they were given Babylonian names
   Changed their identity
Why Change their Identity
They were given names of pagan gods that they forget their home and God
-the world can change your name in order to change your identity, they will eventually want you to embrace their God they will want you to worship their God:(Self, money, power and Music)
But don’t be ignorant of the devils tricks
4. Their choice
Their response
Daniel purposed not defile himself
They sacrificed the present for the future
Focus on your mission
6. Results
Verse 15...their stand
God honoured them, they increased in knowledge
1. They were better looking
2. God gave them knowledge and skill
3. They were employed in the king’s service
4. They became 10 times better than the others

Gods wants to honour your faithfulness

Pastor Nthaka’s fourth born son who was in his fifth grade then, rushed to the altar for prayer but was blocked by the ushers on account of his age. But the Bishop noticed the incidence and asked the ushers to make way for the boy.

In the past weeks we have seen some gruesome scenes of pain and devastation in Haiti caused by a major earth quake. The impact of the quake on the infrastructure has been enormous and an estimated 200,000 people have lost their lives.

It’s in this light that Bread of Life Church International (BLCI) in conjunction with Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) collected offerings for Haiti on Sunday 7th and 14th February 2010.

Many countries and international organisations have responded to the situation with various forms of aid including financial assistance, rescue operations, medical facilities, shelter, food and water.
