Loved with an Everlasting Love

Written by
Jeremiah 31:3

The Bible is full of God’s love, the story begun from Genesis in the garden of Eden, to the Revelation which is the garden of Heaven.

From this passage of a scripture, Bishop Imakando has preached about the everlasting love that God has towards (us) his children, and the way He disciplines us.

God chose to love us, without expecting anything in return. He loves us in spite of who we are.

It will work for good

Written by
Genesis 50:15-21, Romans 8:28

So long we belong to this earth we shall always encounter good and evil. There are trials, illnesses, disappointments, failures, accidents etc. Some of them do come by the decisions and choices we make. But remember that God can turn them around for good.

God Will Remember You

Written by
Genesis 8:1

There are times in life when we are faced with challenges and problems such that we are left hopeless and helpless. It is at such a time that we lose the sight of God, and we begin to feel as though He has deserted, or forgotten about us.

This often happens when we feel like our prayers are not answered or when we do not feel the presence of God as before. We begin to ask God, “where are you?"

God is Our Source

Written by

1 Kings 17:1-16

If you have been reading newspapers, watching on television or listening to the radio, you would have by now got abreast of world events, such as – the credit crunch which has affected the global economy leaving it in disarray.

Consequently, many of the world economies are now in recession. Zambia has not been spared – the mining sector has been affected resulting into massive job losses. As Zambians we were looking forward to the budget, hoping it will give us some relief, unfortunately the relief was far too little.

And some of you are asking, ‘Where are we to go?

God is For You

Written by

Mathew 26:14, Then one of the twelve the one called Judas Iscariot went to the chief priest, and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty silver coins. From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over. Romans 8:31, What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, Who can be against us?

God brings different people to us, the good and bad. Everyone has a role to play in our lives. Good ones love us, they protect us, but often they do not help us to our destiny, it is the bad that help us reach our destiny.

Go Forward

Written by
Exodus 14:21-31

There is a tendency in us of wanting to go back when we meet challenges of life. We think of going back to the old life, job, business and relationships. And so, sometimes God would close a door so that we can go forward, an indication that it’s time to move on.

Closed doors come in many forms such as the loss of a promising job with good prospects or when a business with great potential goes under.

Giving

Written by

Luke 6:38, ‘Give and it will be given to you. A good measure pressed down, shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap for with the measure you use it will be measured to you.’

Multitudes followed Jesus and He sat to teach the Sermon on the Mount. He taught them on how Christians should live because He was concerned with their attitude. Kingdom values are different from those of the world.

Free from Anxiety

Written by

MATHEW 6:25-33; PHIL. 4:4 – 7

The events unfolding in our nation are generating anxiety in many quarters. The depreciating of kwacha by 16%, trading at close to K6,000 to a dollar. Job losses that are being experienced in Lusaka, Copperbelt and elsewhere are a source of great concern. The stress levels are going up. A good number of our citizens are under pressure. Even Christians are getting affected because some of them are victims of these daily occurrences. Anxiety is common to all of us. We face it daily in our lives. Jesus taught on the subject of anxiety or worry. He admonished that it has no place in a believer’s life. We must therefore not entertain it. We must live worry free lives. As a believer, how do you deal with anxiety?

Do Not Condemn, Instead Forgive

Written by

Jesus sat down on the hill side of the Sea of Galilee to teach them the word of God, known as the Sermon on the Mount:

Luke 6:37, “Do not judge and you will not be judged. Do not condemn and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven.”

The focus of the sermon is the standard of how we ought to live. The condition of our lives, for example, our attitude towards others.
In this scripture, Jesus didn’t mean we should not express our opinion. Judges and Magistrates exercise judgement as a way to restrain evil. In the Bible were people who were able to arbitrate.
