There was a third baptism service of the year at Bread of life Emmasdale church in  Lusaka on Sunday October 26th 2008. The 111 people comprising of 38 males and 73 females were immersed in water, as a symbol of burial and resurrection, with Jesus Christ to a new life. Among the people who were baptised some came from Kanyama and Lusaka west Blci branches.

To qualify for baptism, trainees were first taught Christian basics where they learnt about discipleship, prayer, bible reading and sharing of the gospel to the lost. And baptism ministry leader, Pastor Luther Maseko, said Baptism was one of the instructions which the Lord Jesus Christ gave to his disciples before he sent them out for the great commission of preaching the good news to all the nations and making them disciples.

Pastor Maseko therefore advised baptism trainees to remain committed to the things of God because baptism was a sign that the journey had begun for them to evangelise the word of God.
