WORD EXPLOSION CONFERENCE 2012

Written by

Word Explosion 2012

The five-day annual conference began on Wednesday 29th August to Sunday 2nd September, 2012 at the Blessing Center, head quarters of BLCI, Lusaka, under the theme: “Encountering Divine Performance”. The conference which was characterized by life transforming messages attracted close to ten thousand people both local and neighbouring countries.

Delegates from Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Zimbabwe, South Africa and Namibia were among those who travelled long distances to come and tap into God’s extraordinary blessings at Bread of Life Church.

During the opening, the host and presiding, Bishop Joe Imakando, assured the congregation that the Word Explosion would equip them for divine performance before entering a new season.

“This conference will be used as a tool for ushering us into a new season and when that season comes, it will bring the grace to empower us for prosperity”. The Bishop declared.

Bishop Imakando invited Bishop Mark Kariuki (Kenya), Bishop Tudor Bismark (Zimbabwe), Apostle J. Mwingira (Tanzania), Dr. David Molapo (South Africa), as guest speakers. Local preachers included, Rev Kangwa Mumba, Rev Patrick Simushi and Pastor Andrew Kumwenda.

Bishop Imakando, on Saturday evening, preached a sermon entitled: Entering a New Season and reaffirmed that the time to enter a new season had come. He also told the congregation to get ready for new blessings in the month of September when BLCI will clock 20 years of ministry.

The Bishop expounded on four major points that would show a new season for the church had drawn near:

1. The nature of a season; a new season means the unused and attractive phase has come. As we enter a new season God will put a new garment on us and we will smell good with new aroma.

2. The signs of the season; how can we understand that we have entered a new season?

We have encountered fierce opposition and attack from the enemy. But the devil is a liar.

Our prayer level has increased. God is using prayer to counteract our enemy.  The spirit of God has raised a standard and we are assured of victory. We cannot fail when God is on our side. No weapon formed against us shall prevail.

Every Sunday a large number of people have been receiving salvation.

On daily basis several people come to tour the Blessing Center to look at the new structure.

There has been a prophetic utterance that we shall be a church of thousands.

3. The power of the season; it will provide environment of God’s favour and you will progress. There shall be no opposition to stop you. Heaven is working with you for the favour of God’s has come.

4. How do we respond to our new season; some people may have doubts for the new season but we shall see it. Your unbelief cannot not stop God from what He is about to do in your life:

Be expectant that God will move on your behalf.

Ride on God’s favour; do what the occasion demands.

Do what you have never done before; Solomon gave offering and he entered a season of wisdom and honour.

Be sensitive to prompting of Holy Spirit.

Seize doors of opportunity, they seldom knock twice.

Confess the favour of God that you are entering a New Season.

Beware of Pride
Speaker: Bishop Joe Imakando
1Chronicles 21:1-13

Many have fallen due to pride. As you going to experience unprecedented blessing there’s need to prepare, lest you are tempted by the enemy. Say get behind me Satan instead lift the name of the Lord. Don’t take pride in material things but in God.

David yielded to the temptation, God was displeased with David and David’s repentance.

Why the Blessing Centre
Speaker: Bishop Joe Imakando
Exodus 25:8

It represents His promise, a place where His presence will be manifested
Represents His witness to the world (will speak of His glory), represents provision, represents God’s protection

How to prepare for unprecedented blessings
Speaker: Rev. George Adeboye
2Timothy 3:4

As a Christian, you don’t have to be familiar with the word of God. The word stimulates growth, gives knowledge and guidance.
How do you prepare for unprecedented blessings: Read, hear, speak, study, meditate, know and do the word of God.
Understanding Blessing.
Speaker: Rev. George Adeboye
2Timothy 8:11

Misconception about the blessing: Expecting God to bless you in the way you want. That you will be blessed regardless of the church or authority, blessing is mostly material things (greatest form of blessing is not in material from).
The source of wealth is not money but an idea. Ask God for wisdom.

The Purpose of a Blessing.
Speaker: Rev. George Adeboye
Leviticus 25:21

When God blesses you, there is a reason: To express His love and goodness, to show us that He cares for us, to help us lay a foundation for the future, so that we can recover from the losses of the future, for people to see God as He is
The highest form of a Blessing/How to be a Blessing

Speaker: Rev. George Adeboye
The reason God blesses us is to make us to be a blessing. The greatest blessing is when you become a blessing. That is when you help somebody. Be a giver. We need to sacrifice, give joyfully, generously and constantly.
The Power of the prophetic word
Speaker: Rev. George Adeboye
Ezekiel 12:25-28

The prophetic word is: an insight into the will of God, proclamation of the word of God, revelation in an unprecedented power, weapon against fear.

Failure is not Final
Speaker: Bishop Appiah
